Unable to Open Bridge 2022 or 2021

I wanted to open Bridge 2022 along with Photoshop 2022 but it won't open. I have PS CS5, CS6, and CC, and the only Bridge I can open is CS5. I got on with Adobe support and was told I'd have to delete all of my Bridges and then install 2022. In doing so I would lose PS CS5 & CS6 which I don't want to do.

CS5 is the Photoshop I work in most, because I do all of my printing up to 16x20s, and CS5 is the only version that has Print Package available and I use it a lot. My main reason for using the subscription is for Lightroom.

I did try to uninstall Bridge 2022 and reinstall it, but that didn't work.

any ideas?

I had a similar problem with PS 2022 on my iMac. Just going to open a raw file, or a .psd file, it would end up in older PS or ACR. Similarly, opening a file via "open with" and selecting ACR 2022, I'd end up in an older PS or ACR. I solved the problem by always selecting "open with" and choosing PS 2022, I'd end up in the latest ACR or PS, as appropriate. Hope this has some relevance to your problem.

I never liked Picture Package, but I do love and still use Qimage software to do packages and contact sheets.

https://ddisoftware.com/qimage-u/

This worked before CS5 and still works with Photoshop, Lightroom, Capture One, DXO Photolab, or any other application that can generate a printable file. This will solve a number of issues, especially getting access to the new feature set in Photoshop CC-2022, including Bridge 2022.

Why do you need Bridge if you have Lightroom?

Too used to using Bridge. I have never printed from LR probably because I never understood how to do a number of things available in LR. Just getting too old (80) to make a lot of changes. lol

Like so many things I purchased over the years, I once had Qimage but never used it. I use only sheet paper and the bulk of what I use is Letter sized so Qimage just sat there.

It hasn't happened to me in a while, but the issue was that the icon led to a dead referral after an upgrade. Solution was to find the adobe directory in your file structure and copy the affected application icons back to your desktop.

Ditto on Gene's comment regarding Qimage. I'm not sure why using letter sized sheet paper would be a hindrance to Qimage.

Best of luck in finding a solution to your problem.

If you're using Windows, install Bridge 2022 then do this:

1) Right click on your desktop and go to New --> Shortcut
2) In the dialog box type "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Bridge 2022\Bridge.exe" with quotation marks.
3) Click the Next button and name the new shortcut Bridge-2022
4) Click the Finish button

If you're using a Mac I'm sorry but can't help you.
