Top of Sonora Pass

The top of Sonora Pass is absolutely stunning. I was able to make the hwy. 108-395-88 loop just a week before they closed it for the wintertime-- you can see some snow on the ground here. 9,000 ft. elevation.

It's a 'quick' climb (we'd leave Bay Area early and have lunch at 12000 ft) to Sonora Peak where you get a 360 of the Sierra; worth it, but no streams there! Love your series, many memories of all of them so far.
