 So I just got this camera, and I've been searching the internet today for advice on how to work it. so that's mostly why I'm here. but even after I figure out I'm sure I'll stick around because I love photography! even if I'm pretty new to it.
my camera is a canon eos rebel T3 if anyone cares :)

first I tell everyone this with any new equipment (cameras cell phones dvd players etc) READ THE MANUAL. Take your camera put it by the manual touch every button that the manual shows you. If you have trouble understanding the manual, I recomend getting the magic lantern guide for your camera. they explain everything about your camera in english and is small enough to eep in your camera bag. Second there are many good intro to photography books that explain the fundamentals. third shoot shoot shoot post your photos here for review (dont worry we dont bite) apply what you learned shoot repeat often good luck

I went on youtube and found some interesting reviews and tutorials on what all the buttons are for etc. I found them to be quite helpful. Just type in "make model, tutorial"
