This GHO (assumedly the male) was recently "found" locally and there is a nest with the assumedly female on it.
Hopefully there will be more/better photo opportunities as the further nesting develops ......the nest and perching is HIGH in a dense Southern Pine - so photographing is a challenge and mostly in low light shadow......

Great photo. I find it difficult to get that much surrounding light as a rule for my backyard owl shots.
