My wife has had good results working with mixbook.com

I have done a dozen or so books with Blurb. I wouldn't use any other publisher. Go to their website and download their easy design tool. Lots of choice on size, paper, book type, etc.
And we have also done dozens of books with Blurb. Can't recommend them highly enough. You might want to wait until they have a sale, though. Have your book done and ready to order, then go for it.
I publish books and calendars for the local tourist market in Tasmania. Last year I produced a one off large format book through Blurb and the reproduction quality was excellent. Blurb was the only company that offered good colour management and this was extremely important to me as I do a lot of cmyk conversions for printing.

Thank you. I will add them to the list to look into.
Very good info, Dennis833. I’ve had several good reviews of Blurb here, and intend to check them out. I have seen one small Blurp publication, by the younger John Paul Caponigro, re an Antarctic sojourn he made. Very nice.

That seems to be a common them for various firms - prepare the book, then wait for a sale. Thanks for the input.
I have made many books using Printique (formerly Adramapix) and have been well pleased with their product.
I have made some photo books that came out very nice with this company:
https://pbus.onelink.me/lIH9/pbussharePhotoBooks offers one free book per month where you just pay for shipping. Nice way to get into book publishing!
Thank you, Rjosef, I will check these guys out, too.
Thank you, I have added them to the list.
Many thanks to everybody who graciously responded to my query. I have plenty of options to explore now, and none blindly.

After about 10 years, my son and I have completed a “baseball odyssey”, having seen a major league home game for all 30 teams. Some games were viewed in an older and a new ballpark, such as for the Yankees and Mets. Saw the Braves in three different parks in Atlanta. I made photos to document our experience, and would like to collect all this stuff in a decent photo book. This is not fine art photography, basically just good snapshots, scans of tickets, etc. I am looking for recommendations for a good publisher, so I can get started with this. Any ideas? I am doing a book right now. It is just about ready to send to Blurb. It is my first book. If you use Lightroom Classic, you can do the book right in the program. It was fairly easy, although it had a small learning curve. When you sign up for Blurb, they will give you 35% off the first book. Lightroom is perfect for getting your pictures organized. Once you have the pictures you want, you put them in a collection and then you just go into the book module. If at the last minute you decide you need to do additional editing on a picture, just move to the developed module then back into the book module.
I have heard good things about Blurb, so if they print the book close to what I have on the screen, I'll be happy. They do have profiles, but they only work on Photoshop and maybe in a few non Adobe programs. Have fun.
