Many reviews are totally useless, but to some readers it’s quantity versus quality for measurement.
Agreed.
I usually look at the bad reviews first to see how many are blowing methane.
Then I can adjust the good to bad ratio.
Some of the "bad" reviews are such a hoot!

Photography products are a good example!
Amazon itself shows you other vendors that can have lower prices. Anyway, the internet makes comparison shopping easy. Did you actually purchase the items you reviewed knowing the price was higher, and then write about it? Seems like an odd hobby.
And are you sure that talking about price was the issue? You seem like a person who is not afraid to forcefully express an opunion. Maybe you stepped over a line in some other way.

So if you paid twice what it's worth, you are ok with that. Pricing is very relevant to any review. I'm afraid I respectively have to disagree.
A significant amount of new camera reviews on this forum mention price.
I'm not ok with that. But I research pricing before committing to any purchase, regardless of vendor.
I'm just sayin that Amazon is not always the best value. They used to be. That's all

They were competitive. Not always the best value. Value is not just price.

Many reviews on Amazon and other places are not even for the item you are looking at
