I agree that’s an unusual grill on the Hudson. Is that original? Overall, a magnificent grouping of beauties. I was wondering if the handicapped parking tag in one refers to the age and ability of the car or the occupant!! Probably both.

Interesting grill on that Hudson! All bring back memories tho most of these I saw as an occasional kid car in the late 50s and early 60s. Very nice!

Really nice pictures of some great cars! I was a little disappointed however that the shots didn't include any Studebakers. They really had about the only new postwar cars in '47.

Excelent set of photos. I love those cars. I use to own a Plymouth 1955, V8, 1 gallon and think it was my best car ever. The problem in my country is to mantain a car like those I should be shareholder of the petrol company.

Wonderful set of photos! A time when you could identify cars by their hood ornaments. 49 was also the introduction of the modern OHV V8 by Caddy and Olds. All other manufacturers would follow.

Beautiful. Try riding in one in July from Texas to Montana in the back seat at 7 y/o. Kinda warm and sticky after awhile.

After you post a photo, wait until it shows up, then scroll all the way to the bottom, below where it says "Brouse".
There will be a small thumbnail photo of what you just posted and a box just below that where you can enter text. Once you enter the text, click the "Update" box below that.
That will send you all the way to the top again with your text showing above the large photo.

No, that's certainly a custom grill.
