Irwin, I got one too. I am very please with it. I am still looking for a trackball that will play well with Monterey. But otherwise no complaints.

I have a BenQ pd3200u and is the best monitor I have ever had, I bought it as a factory refurb for $600 a year or so ago and am very happy with it.

I did likewise. I passed my Asus graphic arts 27" to our special needs son for his train simulators (he also watches a lot of cartoons and train videos on it) and his older Asus 24" graphic arts monitor went to my wife's desktop for shopping. She likes to see what she is buying and her large screen smart phone and iPad aren't big enough for things she wants to see a good image of before deciding.

I use a Benq SW2700 for calender, book publications plus normal photo editing. I have two profiles set. 1 is set for my prepress work (5,800K - 80 luminance) and 2 is set up for photo editing ( D65 - 120 Luminance). I can switch from one calibration to another at any time and the Palette Master Elements software calibrates directly to the monitor not the video card. It's a excellent monitor.

Whichever you decide on try the Benq site, mine is a refurbished saved me a couple hundred at the time (right before Carona got here) I know prices went up some when everyone was setting up home offices, but the savings may still be comparable.

I am definitely going to look at the refurbished ones. I got a nice one on sale at the end of the year at B&H, but they were incorrect about it being compatible with Palette Master. I may keep it, but I want to make sure it is the best one for me.

I could use some advice on my monitor selection. I am both a professional graphic designer and a photographer. When I get to retire in two years I hope to devote all my time to my photography. But my work as a magazine designer has me spending a lot of time in Photoshop editing my own images, or images provided by my clients. I just upgraded my computer to a 14 inch MacBook Pro with Monterey. I need a 27" secondary monitor to do my work on. In December, after extensive discussions with salesmen at B&H Photo, it was recommended to me to get the BenQ PD2720U which was on sale from $1,099 to $769.00. My goal was to able to have two profiles, one for design and the other for photography and to use Palette Master, the BenQ software with an i1display Pro to calibrate the monitor. BenQ has been good with support, they just told me my monitor doesn't work with Palette Master. And perhaps I should be in the SW series, which is more geared to photography. I need type to be very crisp since I design magazines.

Question: If you are using a BenQ monitor, do you like it? What model?
If you think another brand would be better for my specific need, what would you get. You can see I am not look looking for an inexpensive monitor, nor can I afford and Eizo. Thanks so much!

I have the SW2700PT model that I bought from B&H and I downloaded Palette Master to my iMac Desktop. I connected my Mac to the BenQ Monitor and it has been with me for 4 years now. Excellent for editing.

I used to have a Spyder. I got the x-rite and am struggling with it. I may swap it for a Spyder.

I have two Benq SW2700PT I bought 3 yrs ago I use to work on photos .I do a lot of restoring and coloring of B&W photos . When I bought my two monitors , it came with a display cable and you need to have a Display port out of your graphic card so when you use the Palette Master software you can get a correct validation after calibrating the monitors . Using any other cable connection to the monitor will give you a failed validation after calibration . I learned that the hard way because the Display cables they include in the box has one large end and one small end . I needed a large end on both ends and I had to order two cables . I'm very happy with mine , Tommy

Tommy, one of the differences with new MacBook Pros is the absence of a separate graphics card. Graphics are handled by the M1 chip. Also, there is no display port on that computer. The preferred connection is though the USB-C port on the cable BenQ supplies.
