Wonderful. Thank you. You didn’t get to Punch Bowl - National Cemetery of the Pacific? Moving experience.

We did get there. I just did not want to put too many photos out at once. Here are a couple from the visit. We were fortunate to be there on December 7th and see the parade and the 7 survivors that year (2015)

Lovely series...Visited Pearl in 2005 and took a shot of the oil slick - it made me cry...

There is something very powerful in seeing the still bubbling to the surface. It is a profoundly moving experience

I ran the Honolulu Marathon back in 2011 and brought my parents along. My grandfather was in the US Navy in WWII and my mother and her sisters lived on a base in Hawaii as young children and she hadn't been back since then. The race is near the Dec 7 anniversary and all the flowers and memorials were still up when we toured on our early morning tour. Great to see some other views.

It's amazing that oil is still leaking from the USS Arizona after 80 years. Some estimate anywhere from 14,000 to 64,000 gallons have leaked, and left uncapped, could continue to leak for another 500 years!
