I don't know if I'll ever understand how Google handles photos. You must be very careful deleting any photos from Google Photos. Deleting from one place can delete from all places, but it doesn't seem to be consistent.

Apple Photos basically follows the same method across Apple devices. I find it very convenient.

Photos,google.com is one cloud site. It’s not computer dependent. I guess I don’t understand your concern if I delete an image from google from computer A and later log on from computer B to the google site, I don’t expect to see the photo I deleted earlier. And I don’t ….

I share this Google problem. I think the solution is for the recipient to download the photos from the link to a file.

What surprised me was that a picture I deleted was also deleted from an album, but I guess that makes sense. No big deal.

I might have 1,000 pictures on my computer in Google, but I don't want that many on my phone.

Be careful what you ask for, Jerry. If you manually sync from your phone's google photo app, you may find your phone loading up. Don't take this as gospel, I'm only speculating. If I take a picture from my phone and want to see it immediately on photos.google.com, I do a manual sync from the phone app. From a google search, "it's not a two-way street like the current Google Photos-Google Drive integration—meaning you'll need to upload photos and videos to both places—but you can pick individual folders to automatically sync as soon as you fire up your PC. Any new images and videos on your PC will be available through Google Drive."

Correct - if you delete the photo itself it will be gone across the board. You can certainly remove a photo from an album without deleting the photo - in which was it will not longer be in that album but will still appear in the catalog of photos as well as in any other albums you may have added it to.

I have my photos on a website. I can access them from my phone and it doesn't take up memory.
