Whats Behind The Old Barn Door...
Been by this old outbuilding several times and a couple of months ago decided to stop and investigate. The door was partially opened so I stepped inside for a look...
1. Strong winds often prevail in this area

2. Humm...intriguing...think I'll peek in

3. Anyone want to guess on year and model?

4. Looks like someone was shooting at the driver

A great series with a purpose! Bringing us into the building to discover the "buried treasures" there was a great thought and concept! Well captured and most interesting! (likely used the truck for 6-pack target practice!
)
looks like old military. a group of veterans might like to restore it
Looks more like it's in the barn unrepaired because the person that drove it didn't survive. I'm usually an optimist, but that grouping doesn't look like a happy story. Intrigue....
I'm not a truck person, so what immediately intrigued me is the construction of the building. Diagonal boards on the outside, well-matched at the corners. Very attractive. And horizontal boards on the inside, giving sturdiness and another layer of protection from the wind. Then covered with tin (later?). Would love to know what their reasoning was. Plus, a conduit with electric wires for a light. This was probably a fine machine shed in its day.
This is a delightful story-telling series, jederick!! Wonderful!
Another excellent find with a mystery included, Jim!

Thank you, Tommy...thought a little intrigue would help build interest!! Probably correct on the six pack target shooting and that is when they moved the truck indoors.

Thanks Bull Schmidt. Don't know or where you would go to find out if the truck would be available for rehab...but, you are probably correct in your suggestion!!

Would sure like to get an answer to your premise, Alan...I should have looked to see if there was a body inside...now I'll have to go back and it is a fer piece!!

Thank you very much, couch coyote...I sure appreciate your comments. There was a tin quonset hut next to this building with some equipment...I'll post a photo here.
