Wow. You’re so caught up in your TDS you can’t even acknowledge the words you yourself typed. YOU stated a LIE. Period. You can’t have a conversation without your rampant TDS taking over. Keep on losing, Mazie.

This story is dripping in irony and hypocrisy! We no longer need to worry about e******n integrity. It was just solved by Washington DC the city. They proved it is possible to be a minority and have a photo ID!

Thank-you.

It's not V**erID per see that's r****t, it's the choices of allowed ids. States trying to limit minority v**ers carefully select which ids are allowed to be only the ones rich w****s have, and minorities do not.

Notably, Drivers' licenses and hunting licenses are OK, but college IDs and government employee ids are not.

You are aware that v****g is a right...right? Going to a business (bar, restaurant, theater) is not a right, and that's why they can be (and should be) regulated. V****g rights should be de-regulated. Several states have mail-in b****ts with essentially no fraud. BUT the GOP fears if everyone that can v**e does, then they'd all be out of jobs. So, they promote a fear monger attitude telling everyone that all the mexicans are going to v**e the white guys out! There is no widespread fraud. GET OVER IT! Well, ok, maybe there is on Hillary's blackberry, hidden in a compound in B******i and cared for by the man from the grassy knol.

https://www.thecorporatelawjournal.com/politics/is-v****g-a-right-or-a-privilege-in-the-us

Excerpts from the article:

-------

The progress made in the civil rights era did not mark a shift from v****g being a privilege to right in the US. In its 2000 ruling, Alexander v Mineta, the US Supreme Court affirmed the district court’s interpretation that the Constitution ‘does not protect the right of all citizens to v**e, but rather the right of all qualified citizens to v**e.’ And it is state legislatures that wield the power to decide who is ‘qualified.’

The Supreme Court has also failed to guarantee v****g as a right. • In 2008, the Supreme Court approved an Indiana v**er ID law, even conceding that it had a partisan basis, because it was not "excessively burdensome" to most v**ers. (Justice Antonin Scalia, writing for himself and Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito, concurred separately to suggest that the proper level of scrutiny was more like "wh**ever the legislature wants.")

--------

Ideological feelings aside, it is not law or constitutionally guaranteed that v****g is a right. So at this time, requiring an ID to v**e fits your definition.

I can understand college ID's not being valid to v**e. Just because you have a college ID does not mean you are a resident of the state. The banning of government ID is puzzling. What is the reasoning and in what State?

They aren't required to v**e in their home state. They have a dual residency. They are not allowed to be registered in both states. Next excuse?

Why would college ID's ever be good for anything other than that specific college? Next you'll be claiming your gym ID or Dunkin donuts card is enough to use to v**e.

Massachusetts uses a Driver's license. It also has a star in the top corner. If the star is gold it means you are an American citizen. If its empty, you are not. You didn't take a drivers exam? They have a non-drivers version for you.

Government ID does not establish residency. You can work in DC but live in Virginia or Maryland. Don't senators and Representatives have to v**e in their home state for national e******ns?

The ID is to prove IDENTITY, not Residency. The v**er rolls show if person X is a legitimate v**er. We just need to see if the person coming to the polls is the Person X in the rolls. For 240 years, this was adequately done by matching signature --- largely because in-person v***r f***d is THE MOST INEFFECTIVE WAY of stealing an e******n. It has a remarkably high chance of getting caught, for only adding one v**e.

You stated that you understood not accepting student ID as the student may actually be a resident of a different state, implying the student has to v**e at their legal residence. I explained that this isn't so, and you got bent. Now who is the AH.
