The Nashville Tn area set a snowfall record yesterday at 6 and half inches. Laughable for my Northern friends but a big deal for Nashville. We have very limited resources to deal with any type of snowy road conditions. Given the hilly geographical area it made for a very interesting traffic day. It was 11 degrees here this morning and I took this image from the top deck. I'm not a fan of the cold and snow but it does make for some pretty landscape images.

IPhone 13 Pro Max. Basic edits in Photoshop.

Great shot - well done

I grew up in the Dakotas - stationed just outside of Memphis and 1/4" of snow would close the base, that was hilarious... What I found interesting is a black ice storm did not shut everything down though - my neighbors told me that they were used to ice storms - seemed to be the normal and they knew how to drive in that weather...

Yeah, ice storms seem more normal around here but it does make for treacherous driving. For some reason people with AWD or 4 wheeled drive vehicles think they can drive at regular speeds under these conditions. They find out different when they encounter Black Ice or when they try to stop.

Yeah - my first experience with a ice storm was when a motorcycle passed me on black ice - then he tried to turn at the intersection - I stopped and offered to pull him out of the garden he ended up in - he declined - no injuries - he was lucky... (his ride was stuck in clay - by the time they got it out - about a week - the garden/ground chemicals had eaten all the chrome off the bike/engine - lessons learned)

That is a beautiful photo! Hang it on your wall and hopefully you won't see it again. Stay safe and warm out there.
