Thought I'd share these, the first I call Don't Get Caught Napping, the second is a composite of a 2018 Memphis Zoo alligator and 2014 everglades shot, the third is from a 2014 visits to Universal Studios, Disney World, and the Little Rock Zoo, and the last is from 2016 visit to Newport, RI. I first processed the shot as an oil painting then processed it as I would a color pencil sketch.

If you would like, Please click on the pictures, doing so will link you to the gallery page where the shot can be seen in higher resolution and full page. Thanks for viewing and Have A Blessed Day !!!

Thank You Frank, I appreciate it. The original shot of the gentleman napping has been one of my favorites.

What software do you use to create these masterpieces?

Thank You Jack, these were all done in Photoshop, Photoshop Essentials method, photo to detailed sketch tutorial, is my favorite method for a color pencil sketch.
#1 is a photo to color sketch, lots of different layer masks with different colors after masking out the subject, paint spatters as different colors, different patterns and brushes, but it’s all done in Photoshop. #4 is an oil painting the processed as a color sketch with a grunge background texture. 2 and 3 are composites. The Indiana Jones one took me almost 3 days. I kept fiddling with it till I hot it where I wanted it. I tell my wife I do so much in Photoshop to keep the “gray matter” active, and she’s ok with that. What I don’t tell her is it’s really just fun to do 😊😊 !!!

Thanks Buck. I didn't even know those tutorials existed. Lots of new things to try there

Whenever I think about how will I do something, I just google how do you …. in photoshop. My 2 best sources are Photoshop Essentials and Photoshop Cafe. Most of what I’ve learned has been this way!!!
