The sunset was behind me in the West. The camera is pointed East, picking up the afterglow and the intense coloration of the eastern sky.

Composed of 7 overlapping photos, camera held vertically, this image of Central Park with Eastern and downtown Manhattan in the background was originally over a gigabyte. After flattening and smoothing first with Topaz noise AI and then with Topaz Sharpen AI, the photo is as perfect as I can get it.

Camera: Nikon D850, Lens: Nikkor 35mm 1.4, ISO: 400 f/4, 1/80th second
I'd appreciate any comments. Thank you.

I'd brighten it up a little, but just the same, really a wonderful shot. I lived for five years on Central Park West, 8th floor apartment with some of the same view. That made this shot a particular pleasure - I left CPW in 1950, and have never been back!
Thank you!!!

You're welcome, Mike, and thank YOU for your comments. I settled on this color scheme for its drama. The foreground stands in stark contrast to the brilliance of the colorful sky. Brightening it up reduces for me the impact of those amazing colors.

You're very welcome Jeff.
I downloaded the photo and brightened it up - it took a bit of work to keep the center and edges in balance, but it was a fun project, nice result that fits my goals, and I appreciate the posting.
Thank you once more.

I thought I was getting the hang of this stuff but I would think for a depth of that deep wouldn't you need an aperture smaller than f4? Can someone explain why this looks so good at f4?

Great photo, really sharp, and excellent exposure. The only change that I would make is to fix the slight barrel distortion.
