At this stage, the deeper level of the old stagnant water pool (my mudpuddle), where most of the decomposing leaves and flowers have sunk, has been occupied by algae. Protist life and bacteria are hard to see there. There are life forms associated with algae: cyanobacteria and diatoms. Of course other forms do appear as well. It is a unique-looking regency of algae.
