In my recent series, Flowers From the Yard, I presented a Calla Lilly covered with rain droplets. Today while looking in my photo library I started to wonder how it would look in black and white. So here it is for your perusal. Honest comments please. I can be tough.

Happy New Year Dennis,
I looked back and I find that I like both images, maybe slightly preferring the color. In the color image the yellow of the flower has me wanting to look deeper into the bloom and the droplets enhance the overall scene. In the b/w the droplets become the subject(s) and I found myself looking for background scenes in them. It's interesting how going from color to b/w can alter the subject of the picture.

Interesting comments and I appreciate them.
Thank you.

I like the image a lot. The water droplets are in focus as are the important parts of the shot. When I downloaded the shot, I upped the texture and the clarity a bit, which IMO, made an improvement. I also think the spot to the lower right has to go.
For the "next time" I would consider trying to get a bit more of the stem in the shot? Or try it both ways...stem and no stem.
With your ok I will post my very minor edits. Overall, I think it is a very lovely shot...
Cheers

Thanks for the comments. I will consider them.
No, do not post edits. I don’t do that. Thanks for asking.
