I've noticed these Bees in our garden the last few days...some of them are completely black in colour...this particular one has a bit of orange on her but hardly any compared to our usual European Honey Bees.
She first arrived with her Christmas cap on but I asked her to remove it for the second shot...
The last pic shows the ones we're used to seeing...

Can’t help you with any ID’s on these bees, tho they definitely look like very different species. Shots of course are very well done and love your sense of humor on the first.
Merry Christmas!

Edit: my 10 yr old grandson has taken up archery and shoots on his school district team. At his last tourney he was bested by a high schooler but held his own very well! (5th grader vs 8th or 9th grader)

What a beautiful set Ron. The first one is really well done. You should send it to the local University and ask for an identification

Thanks Jack, I have a friend in the SA Museum (Discovery Section) and she usually IDs things for me. I'll contact her after Christmas is out of the way.

Make sure to include the hat, it could be diagnostic

👍 There are different subspecies, or races of honey bees. This link describes them, including the mainly black one.
