Would anyone care to make a wild guess who just scored a goal in the season opener for the Wichita Wings?
One of the most exciting aspects of shooting live indoor soccer for me, is the fact that I never know what is going to unexpectedly happen in advance. I often wonder if I will be quick enough on the back button focus and shutter capture it.
Saturday night during the pre-game of the season opener, all of the players on both teams were noticeably nervous as the crowd entered Hartman Arena. As I set up my camera gear just outside the wall, I could feel the tension in the air. Once the game started, the players quickly burnt off their anxiety and began playing hard.
Suddenly one of our players scored an amazing goal. Then something unusual happened in a blink of the eye. I pushed the shutter and hoped I caught the event. At halftime I checked my images and the attached image is what I saw. Would anyone care to guess which player scored the goal by looking at my image? Hope you enjoyed my picture and I would appreciate any comments you care to make. Shooter41

Great picture,
Did the keeper score?, they're like field players especially in indoor soccer but they don't score often and you did mention 'unusual' and everyone seems to be looking his way!

Dear rickberns...The little Mexican player, Benji, #12, from South below our border scored. He is looking away to find the television camera, so he can pull up his jersey which has a message to his fans in Old Mexico while the Wings players are trying to congratulate him. He is unusual in that his playing style is completely different that the USA players, but extremely effective. Thank you for your comment. Shooter41
