Has anyone here ever watched any Judi Dench movies? Quite the actress! My wife and I watched Ladies in lavender earlier this evening. A compelling drama to say the least.

Watch The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. It's very good and there are a couple of other well known British actors in it as well. I didn't like the sequel, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel as well but it is still worth watching. Also, Victoria and Abdul is very good.

I agree,, she is a magnificent actor.I turned off the sequel after ten minutes...

I agree with you but I thought surely with Dame Judi Dench and Dame Maggie Smith it should be good. I've put down many a book that didn't grab me.

The original was a very good film. I can’t say as much for the sequel.

No spoiler alert, but in the first movie Maggie Smith has the best line....you'll know it when it happens.

I just saw her in “Belfast”….I didn’t recognize her! A very good performance in a very good movie.

She is a wonderful actress. I do believe she was M in at least one of Daniel Craig's Bond films.
