Weird thing with Amazon

Has anyone else had this happen? Random, or somewhat random things (I have searched lens wipes) have ended up in our cart on Amazon that neither myself or my husband has added to the cart. One was shampoo the other lens cleaning wipes.

I wonder if Amazon is somehow adding things to our cart hoping we don't notice, buy something else and get the product and have to keep it as opposed to returning... or is someone getting into our Amazon account? That does not make total sense either as they don't buy anything and have it shipped to themselves.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. Another odd thing happened on Walmart. Someone used our account and bought vitamins. The weird part, they put in their credit card (not one of ours and the charge never showed up on any of our cards), and had it shipped to themselves.... I do not store cc info on the site and won't in the future. Changed the password and it has not happened again.

Any thoughts?
Beth

I can't figure this one out. I don't think they were out to scam anyone if they used their own credit card and address. The question is how they got into your account and why if it was intentional. Maybe this was a computer glitch on Walmart's end.

Some sites if you hover the cursor over something too long it will activate some action.

Never had that happen to me. And I buy quite a few things from Amazon. So, I don't have a clue to what happened on your end.

I suspect someone may have clicked on the Frequently bought together button featured below the item you want.

Either computer glitch, lots of stuff happening at unbelievable rates, a power blip at Amazon and bingo.

Much worse, is someone testing access to your account, hoping you did not notice as no charge to you. Next time, big item and you will get charged.

Sometimes you can see how crooks work. We went into Walmart, bought some small items, walked out, then remembered we wanted a new TV and went back in, card was rejected. I believe we have had this happen twice. Buying small can be a way to test the card as unlikely police will be called for a few dollars, but if it works, bingo.

I've had my phone add items while in my pocket so it's possible that you like me were bumping against the action button and it added a random thing or the microphone misheard you and added due to voice.

Never happens to me, and I am a very frequent Amazon customer. I suspect you may have accidently clicked on something without intending to.
