I'm still going through collecting every chance I get , combining is a slow go . I get some to calibrate and some that just won't , I did figure this calibration process out after a month of beating the head against a cinder block wall in my Cave. this is 290 minutes 58 frames @300 half won't calibrate and I just don't understand this anyone know what I could be doing wrong?

Nice HA shot. When you say they won't calibrate I assume you are referring to the addition of darks, flats and bias frames. If so what program are you using to do the calibration and how it is failing?

My buddy that got me to jump down this Rabbit hole told me not to calibrate my narrowband . Also some of my color channels don't change that much if any at all , I'm adding 5x the exposure length , weird isn't it ? I've got darks everywhere and I take 50 darks every 4 nights per channel after as long as the focus of the channels doesn't change? I've been using SGP for 4yrs to handle everything.

Hi stepping beyond.
Currently I process all my subs (LRGB and Narrow band) with Bias, Darks and Flats and it seems to help. Since I'm using a cooled camera I have been building up a library of Darks at a given temperature and length so I can reuse them without needing to constantly take new darks. I also been using SGP, however on the latest 64 bit version it seems to hang when it does a meridian Flip, the flip occurs and the log shows that it had successfully done a plate solve but then doesn't continue the sequence. At one point I was awake when it did the flip and hung, I hit the return key a couple of times and it got going again. I may go back to the 32 bit version and see if I still fails since I didn't use to have this issue.

I use the 32 and currently use 64 bit and it's not hung but, there was an issue when I had an update of phd {guide would fail to settle down}. I've got a lib all the way to 500 seconds that I use for the longer exposures over a 60s. I'd always check before going out except for that time, I've since resolved that issue by making sure that no future microsoft updates were trying to install in the middle of image time and checking over everything . The night you think it'll be ok it'll prove you a dumb dumb for not checking over everything and saving the sgf . I see the logic in why I should check everything and then it'll flip like a charm and resume guiding , every now and then I need to select a better star to guide on Ballard . I don't have the sky to run all night but, I may get an hour or 2 past meridian . Jared and his team watches my sequences for future ways to improve the program .

When I take a jar filled with lightning bugs and photograph them through the bottom of a peanut butter jar I get the same thing.

I did a reprocess on the Wizard Ha 180s data and kept it real , trying to make things really pop ! Didn't work , too much wasted time trying to stretch and pull it to death{sometimes I just can't help myself}especially when it's a target I've never shot on before it's hard to back off when I get in the Zone . I've started working through the color channels already. I can't wait to bring this one to life.

I did this a few years ago with a FLI pl16803 and chroma narrowband filters.

I love the detail you pulled out , I'm trying to get some more narrowband filters . Since putting in that LED streetlight the lp is too bad from where I image. My image of Ha looks more fluffy . Seemore stars you did an awesome job on the Wizard. That Sll and Olll filter have great color and contrast .
