American Photographer Magazine and American Photo Magazine Collection - 1984 to 2012 30+ years For Sale

I have a large collection of American Photographer / American Photo magazines for sale on E-bay.

Search for : "American Photographer Magazine Lot of Issues" and "American Photo Magazine Lot of Issues" to view thirty two separate lots. Each lot has it's own SKU number relating to the year of issue.

Most years are complete with only a few exceptions noted in the description. Photos are included in the listings of each cover as well as a few photos of the contents. I will send photos of any specific pages you are interested in. Please contact me through E-bay.

I would prefer to sell each year of issues together in a boxed lot, and not break them up. I would gladly entertain an offer to purchase the complete collection, including the lots listed only. If some are sold the collection will be less complete of course. Act soon if that is your interest. I am in southwest Washington state where pick up might be convenient for some. An offer for the whole collection might be best to make direct here on UHH private message.

On E-bay: Use the "Advanced" search in the upper right, scroll down to seller and enter seller ID 6irby . This will take you to my E-bay store making your search more precise. If you place an item in your "Cart" you will get an offer to purchase other lots at a quantity discount up to 20% off. There is also a "Make offer" button on every listing of magazines. The shipping cost is up to you based on how you want it to ship. Click on shipping "Details" to see and select shipping options.

I found this collection in an estate auction. The collector took extra good care of these issues. The condition is excellent to fine with no signs of smoke, mildew, moisture, staining, tears, rips, creases or any damage I could find. The lots are boxed separately and stored in an air conditioned pet free smoke free home.
When paging through these pristine issues you might believe you are the first to read them, and that just may be true. These are a great historic anthology of our craft/hobby/profession. All of the inserts, posters, home shopping supplements and blow-in cards are intact and in-place. A couple of issues are still sealed inside the plastic mailing bag and have never bee opened. Nice. The interviews, photo spreads, articles and advertising are wonderful to read and learn from.

I was thinking of UHH members when I bought these to offer to the community here. Today I completed the listings for these and trust that I am not violating any rules by placing this here. I have been a photo hobbyist for over 50 years and a member here for several years since my retirement, and enjoy reading and admiring your postings and photos.

Thank you for your interest,
Steve Irby

On the E-bay listings many of my older issues are listed for $12.00 for a lot of 6 or 12 issues. These have been reduced from $30.00 after being listed for a few weeks. The 2005 through 2012 lots were listed this past week at $30 for most lots of 6 issues. Most lots are for a complete calendar year of 6 bi-monthly or 12 monthly issues. A couple of lots are listed higher for content. If someone offered me $250 for the whole collection plus shipping I would probably accept it. Purchasing several lots will get up to 20% off ( 4 or more lots) plus some savings on shipping.
The shipping weight of the average lot is 4.5 lbs.

OK folks, I received no offers based on my original price, so I now am asking $10.00 for most lots and you may select media mail for least expensive shipping cost. Media mail will take longer to receive, a couple or three weeks this time of year is not uncommon. I am still open to offers here on UHH for purchase of the whole collection. If you are interested in this option let me know your zip code and I will get you the shipping cost based on shipping four 35lb. boxes, probably FedEx home delivery, unless you can receive at a business address which might be less. Media mail might still be an option.

I just lowered my price on the magazines to a dollar a copy. They are still in lots by year of issue. $6 for a year of bi-monthly issues, up to $12 for years of 12 issues or a dollar per issue in lots of fewer than 12. I can bundle multiple lots to save on shipping.
Local pickup in SW Washington State could be an option.
I will have to donate them all to a thrift shop eventually.
