Number 5 (the viaduct) is absolutely awesome. That one should be framed and hanging on a wall.. very nicely done.

Great story and a great set of photos, Elliott. You are blessed to have a granddaughter that wants to emulate you.

Yesterday I took my 10 year old granddaughter, Kayla, to a nearby stream filled with Canada Geese and ducks and showed her how to use my Nikon Z50 with the 16-50mm lens. I set it at 50mm, 1/50sec, aperture wide open, auto iso, and back button focusing. She had no problems getting sharp images from the start. Her compositions improved during the stay and only had a couple of questions for me. I was using my D850 with the Nikon 70-300mm lens. Frequently, she wanted to compare shots - we both liked hers as well or better! This was her first time out!
I need to up my game to keep face!
Here's a sample of her shots.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!

I cannot wait to teach photography to my granddaughter. Perhaps in two years when she turns ten. Enjoy your time and your shared hobby with her.

Very nice, Elliott. You should be proud of her. By the way, was this at Valley Green?

Thanks to everyone for commenting. Our outing exceeded my expectations and I'll attempt to coax her into learning photography in tiny steps. The key is to not overwhelm young ones.
