Spend the money and purchase an external hard drive. Absolute best and safest solution.

G-DRIVE or CAL-DIGIT brands are about as bulletproof as you can get, but there are several other brands. Depends on what you want to spend, or need in terms of space.

Depending on your storage needs I would suggest you look at a 2tb drive as a starting point. Drives are available up to 12tb, but I seriously doubt you would need a monster like that. USB-3 into the computer is the standard.
FAST, reliable and will store any file type.
Worried about becoming corrupt? Once you save files/folders to that drive- just shut it off and unplug it. Impossible to become corrupted or hacked at that point.

You can buy a removable/portable USB thumb drive at any computer store for about $8, with 32gb of drive space. $16 for 128gb of storage. The thumb drives are not the best products for long term archiving though but The PHOTO STICK thing is an overpriced piece of crap.
