I was joking for the most part, but I kind of figured some of them had to be either a Butte or a Mesa. Having never spent any time in the west, I really don't know the difference and even after looking it up, it says one is a little wider than the other? Now you tell they're neither, but yet a third possibility... canyon walls? This is one confused old man. I'm glad I got a new camera to play with today, it'll take my mind off all this confusion... 😜😉

No problem, at 83 I find that I do not always adapt rapidly. It is my understanding that Zion is a national park with various mountains. If some of these are flat-topped they are usually considered a mesa. I am unaware if any of the formations qualify as a butte. Now, go take some pictures to post (LOL).
