"Fish and Game" introduced a few breeding pairs of moose in the area of north-central Colorado around Walden a few years back and at a recent count it is estimated that the number has grown to around 2,500 which has spread out all over the state. This is one of the bigger ones I have seen.

Wow, he sure is a big one! Great capture, thanks for sharing

First two pictures are taken in our yard. The Herron was taken in my neighborhood. The elk were taken on the way back home from the Washington coast. They were just off the side of the road. Had to be a dozen. The last pictures were taken in Eastern Washington. And I promise, these will be my last for this challenge.

Wonderful captures, Lee! Thanks for sharing!!

Thank you and it was indeed a treat for me, for sure. I won't speak for the moose but he did go right back to Mnuchin's on the willow. 🙂

Indeed, on both counts. In fact, they're beginning to boldly walk about in some of the most populated section of towns, even in Denver metro areas. May start to pose a threat soon. 🙂
