Bear Rocks at Dolly Sods Wilderness in WV - "long view"

I had posted this image at the "tail end" of my previous Bear Rocks/Dolly Sods thread, but wanted to make it a separate posting of its own.
Taken in early October 2021 as the prior image, where I basically just turned around 180 degrees to see this vista. There is some foliage change evident, but even the slight drop in elevation from my "overlook" position resulted in the trees being green. In the valley far below, it was like fall had not even arrived!

Nice shot! West Virginia is sometimes a bit of a "hidden treasure" now that John Denver isn't around to sing about it. I love visiting (good thing I live only about an hour away). Dolly Sods, Spruce Knob, Davis, Blackwater Falls, Lindy Point (all within driving distance to one another), and then Berkeley Springs, New River Gorge, The Greenbrier... I could go on.
Folks, do yourself a favor. If you're east of the Mississippi, you can drive to WVa and avoid COVID-disruptive airlines, and you can spend time (and a lot of photo memory cards) enjoying "almost Heaven!"

I visited Dolly Sods wilderness about 5 years ago. It was my first visit to that beautiful area. The sunrise was spectacular and most probably it was the most beautiful sunrise I have seen.
This is also a beautiful shot. I hope you did not miss the Canaan valley with its beautiful vistas.

Nice shot! Bear Rocks is a fascinating place, well worth the trip up the mountain.
