Here are 4 of my favorites at Upper Antelope Canyon from our recent Southwest trip. I tried editing these in color but I'm liking the B&W versions better. These slot canyons are amazing in their subtle tones and shading. All the Antelope Canyon access is by Navajo tours only and our group was, I thought, relatively small and allowed for time to look around and take photos. The guide was excellent in pointing out different compositions to look at. Let me know what you think!

These are lovely. And the B&W seems very well done to me.

That's nice photoset Walkabout08, but I believe that first photo is from the Lower Antelope, I say that because I have a photo that's identical.

I have mixed emotions about the b/w treatment to the colors of the slot canyon, however. The texture and detail does show up better but one of the primary selling points to the tour is the incredible colors that are layered throughout. It's tempting to overemphasize those colors so I went the opposite way and de-emphasized the colors and am happy with the results.

You are correct, I mis-labeled these as from Upper when in fact they are from Lower Antelope Canyon. My bad! As for the color versions, yes the color is pretty cool but it seems to me they are all from a single family of hue, which led me to try them as B&W.
