Trying to set up my new R6 and can't seem to find a way to get it to AF ... in the AF menu, the camera gives me only one option - MF...
anyone have this sort of situation?
Need more on the condition. Such as lens being used. A screen shot might be helpful as well.
Canon 24-105
A screen shot ? I don't know at this point how to do that...
I've got the camera AF operation menu showing me only MF ... no other option...
Not a Canon guy, but is the lens locked at its smallest aperture?
No , not locked
And lens set for AF
Does the lens have a manual focus switch?
---
The 24-105 lens has a switch for either manual or AF ...
jpwa
Loc: Inland NorthWest
Have a fully charged battery in it?
...and what does the manual say about this subject?
It says how to put the camera in AF but this R6 doesn't provide that option ...

I just looked at pictures of the R6 and there is an AF-ON button along the top at the back of the camera. It's about an inch or so to the right of the viewfinder.
Thanks but that's not it ... that button activates the focusing like pushing the shutter halfway ....
