The lens is your tool
Nice job

And what a good tool it is. I have one of those lenses and consider it one of the best I have owned.

This DX lens and the Tokina 100mm f2.8 macro are the only Tokina lenses I have owned, and both have turned out superb. The Tokina macro lens' image quality was clearly superior to that of the AF-S micro Nikkor 105mm VR G.
From what I've researched, this f2.8 Tokina ultra wide zoom also outperforms Nikon's DX ultra wide zooms. I'm as pleased with it as you are, and I plan to take it on trips. I'm looking forward to doing some long exposure nighttime urban architectural shots on a tripod with it.

sscnxy so tranquil... so serine... so beautiful done... love the reflections...
You are certainly a master of your craft...

btw; I have and shoot a decade old Tokina SD 11-16mm F2.8 (IF) ATX PRO DX (NIKON Fit)
It's a heavy beast... 627 grams with caps/hood and HOYA UV Filter
Because of it's weight those light weight DX Nikkors are very popular

As for "architectural shots" If you are diligent and frame compositions carefully it is superb.
While not a true shift/tilt architectural optic it's totally doable.
Best advice? Get it right in camera... Avoid "Fixing" in post...
Post Processing Lens Correction extracts far too heavy a toll on acuity in my experience.

I also use the follow Tokina glass on commercial assignments.
"AT-X M100 AF PRO D" or "Tokina AF 100mm f/2.8 Macro" Beauty Genre
"AT-X 300 AF PRO" or "Tokina AF 300mm f/2.8" Girl's U18 League Soccer

Tokina's optics are built to last! Tokina has taken an effort to assure that they focus spot on for Nikon Bodies.

Again thank you so much for sharing...
Wishing you much Joy and Happiness over the Holiday Season sscnxy

I have that lens and use it with my Nikons too. I agree with everything you have said here about Tokina wide angles. Lightweight, sharp, easy to handle. And I don't worry about them not being weather sealed. I don't take any gear out in really nasty weather except for my Olympus TG-6. But light rain, snow etc. isn't a problem, as long as reasonable precautions are taken.
