buckeye pupa,i found 2 last month and they both emerged and flew away without me seeing it.last week i got 3 of them and one has turned very dark.i think its about ready.the 1st shot is around 70 shot stack with the helicon tube,the 2nd is a 12 shot stack with the tokina

That is a beautiful photograph. I used to photograph Monarch chrysalis like that one but haven't seen one in a while. Well done photograph.

I hope you catch this one, it sounds like a good excuse to sit in a chair all day, I will remember that one. I like the detail, especially the 'hold fast' (is that the right word) on second shot.
