I hope someone has an answer to this vexing problem. I am using latest cloud versions of PS and LR Classic. M1 Mac Mini, shooting Raw on a Canon R5. In the past, when I send a LR CR3 Raw image to Photoshop I get the usual dialogue asking me if I want to edit a copy with LR adujustments and it sends the image to PS as a Tiff image. This no longer happens. It is just sending a copy of the Raw image to Photoshop. I’ve reinstalled all the preference files, uninstalled and reinstalled both LR and PS and it still remains the same. If I use another program for editing, say Topaz DeNoise or Sharpen, LR works correctly, sending a Tiff copy with LR adjustments. This has been going on for several weeks now, and I am beginning to think it is a bug in the latest version of LR. Any ideas, anyone else having the same experience.
Have you tried calling Adobe?
First thing I did: reinstall preference files, uninstall and reinstall both LR and PS. Googling this issue showed that this occurred several years ago, but supposedly was fixed (both Windows and Mac versions). Haven’t seen this talked about recently on Adobe forums.
When you contacted Adobe, what did they say or do?

See my post above re: plists, uninstalls and reinstalls.

What is really bizarre is that editing in all other programs (Topaz, On1, etc) works as it should. Some folks say it is a Camera Raw issue being out of sync with PS, but I have the latest version of that as well.

Why the reluctance to call Adobe support? They have always been helpful to me.

I did, and I mentioned it in my above posts. They asked me to reinstall plists, uninstall and reinstall both programs. I did and it didn't make a difference.

Sorry, I can't find anyplace you said you called them.
No Problem. My reply to SuperflyTNT may not have been very clear. He asked me if I contacted Adobe Support. My answer was "First thing I did:" I then went on to mention what they asked me to do.

I wonder if other M1 users are having this problem.

Did they offer to take over your computer? I've never had Adobe just give up on a problem.
Bizarre behavior. Now when I try to edit in Photoshop, it still loads a copy of the CR3 file to Photoshop. I do an edit, say "Edit>Content Aware Fill". After the edit is completed, I hit save, and a TIFF file is created from the edited CR3 image and sent back to LR, right next to the orgiginal image. I guess this solves the problem, but I still don't know why Photoshop behaves this way, and neither does Adobe. I did find a 2019 post on the Adobe Support page describing the same issue.

Are you sending unedited photos from LR to PS? If so, I don't think LR will ask the question.
