Number 1 nice starfish...I hope you got it all in your original photo, the tip of one of the arms is missing.
Number 2 octopus. I like the pose, but you need more light or post-processing to make it stand out.
Number 3 Rocks and a funny likeness of an angel fish with lip stick.
Keep shooting, it takes practice and more practice.
What kind or camera were you using?????

I do have the tips on the starfish in another photo. I haven't done much in the way of post processing on these photos. I have better ones that I am working on to put into our annual photo contest.

I am using an Ikelite FL housing and a Nikon D7100 w/18-55mm lens.

Happy to hear you have a good photo with the tips on the starfish.
Nice camera and set-up, but I did not notice a strobe. What are you using for light?
If you live anywhere near Las Vegas you might consider coming to the DEAm show in November. Lots of demonstrations and exhibits on uw photography as well as seminars.

Good start!
The equipment is fine, but I would spend some time playing with the camera's settings, white balance, etc. The reason is that the focus needs sharpening, and the color is a bit indistinct, a tad washed out.
The D7100 is a fine camera, it should do a great job underwater, the strobes and housing are also good.

Maybe the lens could be replaced with a Nikkor macro 60, a very versatile and sharp lens for underwater work, it is my favorite uw lens, eBay carries it from time to time, at a reasonable price.

The other thing is to practice at home, practice, practice, with small and medium sized (15 cm or so)colorful objects, make lots of mistakes and learn how to fine tune the camera and how to mate it with the equipment. Also, a steady grip is essential for sharp photos.

What was your subject in #3? It appears you just missed something right above your signature in the upper left corner; however you actually got a pretty neat capture of a storm of plankton or other wee beasties swimming from the lower left to the center of the image.🤓
The study of the octopus is great as it stands as an example of its ability to camouflage itself; however, you could make it pop out a bit more by fiddling with the brightness and contrast sliders in the various post processing apps available for little to no cost.

#3 is actually newly hatched fish. I wanted to show the beginning of their life and the amount.
