Hello
Anyone know how a disabled veteran can get a free digital camera of processing software in Florida?

Contact the local Veterans Administration or a local American Legion, or V.F.W.

We have contacted all of those and they all have said they did not assist in that way.

The difference is between wants and needs.

Does he want a DSLR or Point and shoot, or a cross like the Canon PowerShot SX160 with big zoom? Send me his name and address I may have one to donate.

Don’t quite understand. What is it you want? Have a large selection of cameras.

I have my first small digital camera, it is a point and shoot. I would be willing to donate.
I am not quite sure what you mean *of processing software*

Are you saying a digital camera and software?

I like ronichas have a small digital camera with owner manual. Give me a mailing address I will ship the camera out. If you are looking for software I can't help you.

If you are a VA patient, call or visit your PACT team social worker. They can probably put the word out and ask around informally. You need to determine what type of photographs you plan on taking - portraits, landscapes, wildlife, sports, etc. Some cameras have attached lenses that can cover all of these, others will need multiple lenses. There are free basic photo editors from Microsoft, but there are also inexpensive ones from Affinity and Photoshop Elements. This assumes that you have a fairly up-to-date computer with which to use the software.

Look for a good local or online class to learn basic skills.

I just donated my time to photograph a luncheon for Veterans at a horse rescue, in NY. I donated all the images for the Vets and for the rescue to use. As a long time photographer it is my way of *paying it forward*
Here is the link to the images on my website.

My friend in Shell, Wy has just started working with this organization, donating his time & location to offer horseback riding to Vets. Both he and his wife are Vets. It is called Saddles in Service. There are several locations.
I thought if there are several people here that want to donate. I can send his address or the main organization for those who want to donate.

If you are interested in donating to Vets. Send me a pm and I will send you my friends address.
