These are from the "Autumn Leaves and Trains" road trip from which we have just returned. They are taken in the Fraser and Thompson River canyons where you never have to wait long for a train.

Canadian Pacific and Canadian National mainlines run up opposite sides of the Fraser and Thompson River canyons. They change sides at Cisco. Here CP crosses the Fraser.

This is taken from the same location as the previous shot. Here the CN track crosses the Fraser and the CP track can be seen beneath it. The main girders of this lattice work bridge were replaced recently after the originals were damaged by fire.

The Thompson River is a major tributary of the Fraser and both railroads follow it east. Here the Rocky Mountaineer makes its way down CN track.

So would I but it takes serious cash. It is a fabulous trip though. We've done it on VIA back when they were still affordable.
