It looked to me as if most of the parts, if not all of them, were new. There was so much dirt on that camera with some oxidized parts that it is hard to believe the camera could be restored.

All other comments aside; How do you spell rugged--N I K O N. The film was fun to watch, but realistically, it would never be worth the expense to salvage that camera, if you could even find someone who would do it.

Admin does not allow links in the Main section. If you put it Chit-Chat, links are okay.

Just to set the record straight, during the Iraqi war a photo journalist friend of mine told me that all the Nikon gear failed and that that gear was replaced with digital Canon for the photo journalists. Funny thing, she was shoot Leicas and sent her Nikons back to Turkey for safe keeping. The journalist was Mary Ann Smothers Bruni.
