A Fox and A Chipmunk

After fishing in Meadow Lake in Idaho I grabbed my camera to take photos of the lake and surrounding areas. I was surprised to find this red fox walking just a few yards away from me. Fortunately he stopped a couple of times to allow me these two photos. The chipmunk tried hiding for a few minutes and then came out on a stump and posed for me for a few minutes. I hope you enjoy them. Notice the tail on the fox. I have never seen one bushier.

Thank you for the positive comment. Yes, it was great to see him. When I got to the lake/campground I happily noticed I was the only one there in a huge campground. It made for a fun day of fishing and apparently the lack of other people allowed the fox to feel comfortable with just me there.

Thanks for a fine compliment. Yes, I suspect that fox enjoys a few meals of chipmunk from time to time. They are small but many.
