I easily made an appointment at a CVS half an hour from here, and I brought what they said I would need: a mask, ID, and insurance card. After she spent some time on the computer, the woman there said, "Can I see your card?"
"What card?" I asked.
"Your CDC vaccination card."
"I couldn't find it."
Then she asked the question I've heard on TV a hundred times, "What do you mean you couldn't find it?"
I was wearing a mask so she didn't see me almost laugh. I thought a moment and said, "I wasn't able to locate it."

No card - no shot. I went home, dug around, and found it. Now I have my third Covid shot and the "super" flu shot, so I'm set for at least six months. The extra strength flu shot is recommended for people over 65.

Again, I didn't feel anything in either shoulder.

Congratulations. We got our "senior" flu shot a few days ago. Moderna Covid shot not available yet. Checking things off the list, one at a time.

Getting my Pfizer booster tomorrow and waiting a week or so to get my flu shot. Having watched my son and wife (both vaccinated) go through a breakthrough infection ~6 months after the initial doses, I want to avoid that. Neither required hospitalization, but it wasn’t fun, and my son’s 4 children (too young to be vaccinated) had full blown infections. They have recovered, and I hope/pray there are no lasting effects other than missing the first few weeks of school.

Anti-Vaxers PLEASE don’t hijack this thread (again).

I'm waiting to see what the CDC and FDA recommend. I got my first shots in March, and early on they were saying the booster should be 8 months after the first one, which would be November for me.

The CDC is now recommending a Pfizer booster for those over 65 or immunosupressed - the Moderna and J&J recommendation is pending. The graphs I’ve seen show a decrease in protection after 6 months from the last vaccine. My 2nd was 2/10, so I’m a couple weeks shy of 8 months.

I had my third "booster " shot last month as soon as they said we could. I'm on a immunosuppressant for RA, so I went online to CVS and filled out the online form, got my appointment time and went right over to get it......no problem. I want to be well and , and my family to be well.

My covid shot was arranged by the school district, and we had to go to a shared site about 50 miles away to get it. I remember them giving me a card, but had no recollection at all of it after that... I searched the car, all my jacket pockets, the nooks and crannies in my wallet where my medical certificates hide out. Nope. Not a sign.

At a pre-school-year meeting, I spoke to the head of transportation, and asked if she could give any help in finding out about it. Within a day or so, she sent me a phone number of someone in the health department, who subsequently gave me an email address for the state government people who do that sort of thing.

She sent me a form, which I had to fill out and send back, along with a photo of my drivers license. It said on the form that it could take 6 to 8 weeks to get anything.

About 2 weeks later, I get this certificate through the mail. It isn't the same as the original (ask me how I know...) but it is a legal document.

Less than 3 hours later, I found the original... It was under the phone charger, and I am sure that I must have had a good reason for putting it there. Oh well...

Back to colonoscopy prep, day 2 *sigh*

Moderna is available in this area. Take a look here.

No Jerry, you’re “not set for 6 months”, however you have reduced your risk to another level.
