A short story...
For years folks have appeared out of nowhere to come down the dead-end lane and turn their cars in my yard. I've always kept 'No Trespassing' signs at the entrance to my place. Over time I've found that if Carroll or myself be in sight, they stop, look around, and start backing up to where there is spot to turn. If they see no one it's circle and wheelies in the grass.
In one of my ponderings on the subject I thought that perhaps a camera at the entrance might dissuade such actions. I then thought that a camera would be a lot of money.
So...I pondered more.
There is an old traffic cone sitting beside my sign post. It's covering a rock to keep the mower blades safe.
I got one of my several old flashlights, put a clip on it, and set the now "CAMERA" on the top of the cone.
Dang!!! It worked. I've seen two cars stop look at the 'camera' and back out. Illiteracy is no longer an excuse. You know, camera, picture worth...yada, yada.
Now, what does all this have to do with Digital Artistry?
1) Well the cropping of the sign could be an issue for some.
2) I did PP and hoped the mild colorization might count as art.
Note the last image...the cam is high quality. Once the water gets in it doesn't get out (or is the developing chemicals?).
Way to go. This country is full of inconsiderate dumbheads.
Invention is mother of necessity. Seems to cure your dilemma
Haha, creative solution! Good for you!
Too many people don't respect other people property. Good for you for your ingenuity. 👍👍👍
I like what you did with the sign and your whole story shows great creativity! Until I read you explanation I was wondering what on earth type of camera could that be.
