It's nonsense.

Critics review. Academics analyze. Composers, especially geniuses, write great music. There is no computer Nor sufficiently developed artificial intelligence that can reasonably claim to be Beethoven.

Interesting. I've heard of computers composing music when they're given a type of music to imitate.

It was a team effort. There was a main composer (Austrian) responsible for putting the whole score together from segments of music composed by the AI program, musicologists, music historians, and computer software geeks who programmed the AI.

😊

Brahms was probably one of Beethoven's biggest fans. He stopped composing symphonies after his own 9th. Superstition?

There is a sample of the final composition in the end of the article. You can listen and judge the quality of the piece. Also, there is a premier release on 10/9, but the article does not say how to listen.

AI can generate a few bars of music in a certain 'style'. This was a team effort because many such segments had to be put together into a longer piece.

Nobody can continue the genius of Beethoven. Don't try to go there. I can reasonably accept someone's completion of Pucinni's opera Turandot, because it was so blindingly gorgeous and it did seem to beg for a final act ending. The genius conductor Toscanini however never accepted that last act either, but most of the world has.

There's a new ending coming soon to Turandot.
