Another look at Kasia and Amanda. I know the focus is a bit off, so let’s just call that a given flaw. I shot this free hand because while I was changing film backs, Kasia started goofing around with poses. I really liked what she was doing and I didn’t want to miss it completely. Enjoy it for what it is - two young and completely uninhibited girls goofing off for their cameraman.

I love it, the focus almost doesn't matter with this shot, just makes it soft. The humor in it, and again the hair color and the green on the wall make it even more interesting.

For a "posed and prepared" shot, I would agree, the footwear has no place in it, but for an "in between shots", capture, I think it adds a little more to the humor to this candid type shot.

Ya, I agree about the shoes, but we were walking around an abandoned building. I once stepped on a nail sticking up from the floor in a building much like this. I didn’t begrudge them even this flimsy protection. Hell, they took off everything else they had for me.

I don't think an increase in clarity would necessarily make it better. I kind of like the out-of-focus aspect of it. It as a sort of Orton-ish look.
