Interior remodel and exterior repair of the house started at 6:30 AM this morning. New roof is the major outside repair and of course there's a chance of rain for the next 5 days. Interior is going to be a living nightmare. Work day starts at 6:30 removing about 1800 sq. ft. of existing floor tile, to be replaced with composite wood flooring. Remove and replace an existing 10 foot interior wall separating Arizona Rooms (Sun Room to most of the rest of the country) and install additional HVAC unit for those two rooms.

Some pictures of today's progress.

Good luck with your project. We moved to Mesa 2 years ago & have accomplished several projects. The major outside project is making an Arizona room out of our patio for the extra living space.

Thanks Mike 3 people in the house 75+ and one 97. All blessings are appreciated. This well may be the dumbest thing I have attempted in my life.

Looks like you are undergoing some major changes. I bet you all will be glad when it's done. But a challenge to live thru it.

We replaced our A/C last year. Most of our remodeling as been outside landscaping (trimming and removing dead trees).

Hopefully the rain won't be an issue for you

Good luck

Hope everything goes smoothly!!!
Did you know that roof mounted A/C condenser would be more efficient if it were shaded from the sun? Something 99.9% of HVAC people will NOT tell you !!!

The construction dust will be with you long after the project is finished. Change your furnace filters frequently for awhile. We had some specialists come by and vacuum out all the vents too. Are you in Sierra Vista?

Thanks Jim It's going to be a nightmare. Of course as soon as they opened up the roof it started to rain.
