A very difficult sport to shoot. Terrible gym lighting with average iso 5000-10,000. The high iso ruins the color, the focus, I mean everything. Shoot tight is an understatement to say the least.
Nikon D500 70-200 2.8 85mm 1.8 lenses I used.

Know what you mean Jules. Ran into that shooting my grand daughter's games in Orlando. Than throw in not having the proper equipment made it even worse. Had to shoot with a D7200 and a 3.5 lens.

That can be tough. Sometimes you just have to have the right stuff. Tough game to follow, some guys say you can't follow the ball, you have to shoot in an area, hell I don't know. lol

DAMN volleyball! I went last night and shot two JV games of a triangle. Looked ok on screen, but download is miserable. The gym I shot in has LED lighting and I thought would be wonderful. I will post mine when I get post work done. Disappointed is the really nice way I can say it. I forgot how tough volleyball is to shoot. Back and forth FAST action, these girl's MOVE IT! I know shoot tight is the way but zooming in and out on my 80-200mm to try and get the shot I want is hell and then try and get focus. Like I said I will post a few when I get the first game worked on. Thanks BE AFE!

Very good. How did you do when the game started? lol lol horrible sport for us photo people.
Seriously good white balance, was it set in camera to auto? Good focus, stopped the action. Did you have enough for a gallery?

Awesome shots Jules. Do you shoot from bottom bleachers or are you permitted to be on sidelines ? Paul
