I don't know about you, but this is amazing video and stills all done with the new IPhone 13 Pro. When watching this I am also reminded that the Tool (ie: The Smartphone Camera) is only as good as the Photographer/Videoagrapher that's using it. Your mileage may vary.

I have my arrp phone, 25.00 a month just use it for calls, and I have my camera gear paid for a d 610 camera and 2 lenses is not hard to lug around. These cell phones cost alot of money a month just to upgrade to a better camera in the phone, why do these people even have DSLRS, or whatever camera they own, just use your phone your paying a monthly fee for it any way, and these new phones cost a bundle, not for me.

What lenses do you currently have for your 610?

I guess it just comes down to preference. You will get a never ending discussion on the purchasing reasons people make. For me, I usually wait for several model updates before I move up. Currently I'm using an IPhone 8+ so it's been awhile for me. Like you, I also have an older model Nikon, a D7000 with a 18-300mm and a 11-16 2.8 mm. I still use these but mostly for speciality images like star trails, or light trails, Long exposure images etc. I have no doubt that soon, the Smartphones will produce the same quality star trails light trails long exposures etc as my Nikon does now. The endless capabilties will all be in your pocket!

I think it is clearly what many on this site don't wish to hear, but the cell phone will in time replace the vast, vast, majority of cameras. It wasn't really that long ago that film enthusiasts argued that digital photography was a toy not to be taken seriously by photographers. With the amount of investment capital and competition behind cell phones dwarfing that of traditional cameras, it's not difficult to visualize the future.

An amazing video and good review. I pre-ordered one (iPhone 13 Pro Max) to replace my iPhone 7+ earlier this week. I always skip several generations and everything I've read about this new iPhone is impressive. While I will continue to use my DSLR cameras for serious photography, the video specs on the iPhone 13 sound promising. Plus, I will always have a good quality point-n-shoot camera with me by having the new iPhone 13.
