This is a photo I took of a damaged painting. So far all my efforts to restore have been awful to say the least. So if anyone would like to try and fix this photo to at least look better, I will appreciate it. I'll continue to work with it for now. If no-one wants to spend time on it, I understand. I feel a little funny asking this but I thought I would try.

Is this the original shot or the results of what you got so far from your effort?

Thanks, I do like it. It is better that what I have been able to do. If you have time and don't mind please do a little more cleanup. You are on the right track.

Any ideas on how to get this to a more photograph/portrait look?

I am not sure what you are asking. You may want to turn it into a B/W. If you plan to print it I think you will be able to print it to a maximum of 8 x 10. And that may be pushing it. Before it starts to fall apart.

Well glad I could help. I worked on a photo of my parts from the 1930’s. It was only a 2x3. So ant reprinting would be limited in size. I think your photo will fall into that category.
