Back Yard Color

When we put in our yard, we left a corner of it “natural” so we could have some trees and natural ground color. We have wild roses, fireweed, and what are called high bush cranberries. The leaves turn a deep red in the fall, and the berries a bright, translucent red, and smell like dirty socks when they’re fully ripe, usually after the first frost. A couple days ago I found this back there as it caught the sunlight nicely. I thought I’d share this bit of color here.

Thank you, Mike. I always look forward to the leaves turning red in our patch of “woods” each fall.

Thank you, Paul. Much appreciated. Those highbush cranberry bushes really color up nice.
