While assisting my wife in her rat-proofing duties I noticed some small birds moving through the trees. Chickadees and Juncos and Bush Tits! They stopped by long enough for me to get a few snaps.

The Juncos do not much fear us. Four or five birds will land within 20 feet of me, at times closer- inside the minimum focusing distance as times.

Bush Tits- Very cute little guys but very quick. Hard to get good focus- my D850 does not focus as quickly as my D500, but the IQ- well judge for yourself! The female Bushtit shot is one of my all time favs... Slewed the camera and snapped- viola!

Download and enjoy!

Dark-eyed Junco D 850, 1/500, f 8, ISO 500.
