A Good Day...

We had many days together my old friend; mostly filled with tears of joy, some with tears of sadness. I remember our many journeys to new adventures as you sat so alert and upright trying to lick my face as I rubbed the scruff of your neck. We traveled together, camped together, and took many long and enjoyable hikes together; content in the joy of just being together. As with everything there is always change; fall leaves turn golden brown and the winter sun sits lower in the sky… All things must pass and eventually that fateful day arrived when you became only a memory and an aching emptiness filled my broken heart. The days and nights became long and the tears flowed often, but I always had faith my old friend that one day we would be reunited forever as our bond could never be broken. When that glorious day arrives as I emerge from the wood and enter the sweet grass of the meadow, you sense my arrival and bound across that field of play jumping into my arms as we both feel the joy of just being together again, bonded by that ultimate love that awaits us as we walk side by side up that path to the shining light at the top of the hill; never again to be separated. Yes, my old friend, that day will be a very special day indeed.
Deepest Sympathy. The harshest part of having dog friends, but I will never be without them.

My heartfelt condolences. Your lovely tribute captures every dog lovers heart.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I agree with Quixdraw that our pets should live much longer lives. When it's my time to leave this earth, I want to go where my pets are.

been there done that. We have been blessed to have a great number of dogs in our lives. I love and miss all of them.
