It’s definitely cooler today, feels a bit like august. John went for his operation this morning, and has just gone into recovery now, so that a good job done! I’ve been alone today so no cups of chocolate. Had to make do with my cold coffees. I’ve got no news today, so I’ll just check up then do some emails…I can’t find the emoji button on this iPad…it must be somewhere! Love yawl stay safe.

Do you have to be kind to them, and not squash them before they bite you? 🤣😂🤣 🦟🦟xoxoxo

Good morning from a 57F and still mostly dark Seattle area. Off to meet up with my friends this morning for a coffee and then to visit a few more yarn shops. This particular LYS tour ends Sunday, so we thought we'd get in at least a couple more today. One is very near the yarn shop I usually go to and the other is not too far away. After that we may venture a bit further north and catch a couple of others. We'll see. I hope you all are having a good day/afternoon/evening. xxxooo

Enjoy your yarn crawl; there isn't a yarn shop within cooee of me, unfortunately!😥 xoxoxo

Well windshield wipers are “fixed” again, I hope they stay fixed longer than two weeks this time!

Hello my sisters. Missed you all very much. I am learning to be me again as John, my best friend, soul mate, love of my life has gone to a better place. No condolences please as those bring tears right now, just welcome me back like I've returned from the store. I'll be busy with goodness knows what for a while, but I'm here to stay. ❤️

Welcolm back Trish, I have missed you. You will be back to yourself before you realise, just take your time; we will always be here for you!🧡🧡 xoxoxo

My DD is also a Virgo. Her birthday is in September.
Perfectionist, yes. Irritating and anxious, frequently.
I wouldn't agree with clean and tidy after seeing what she does in the kitchen!

Some Virgos are the complete opposite to clean & tidy. I was always clean & tidy at work, because I had to be; but I really am not the tidiest person at home, because it just escapes me on how I am supposed to do it. DH is much better at that, than I am, so he does the tidy bit! He is a Libra!

I think there are a few about 300km away from me. I just order my yarn online, or spin it myself! xoxoxo

I have caught up now, so I am going to head off to bed now, once I get Mint back inside ..... she is telling a neighbourhood dog off, for being so loud; at least I think that is who she is barking at! 🤔🤨 xoxoxo

Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is 6:52 am EDT and 22'C (72'F). Toronto has called a heat alert because we will have 5 days of over 30'C with humidity and no rain. Night temperatures will not be going below 20'C.
Knitting in the parking lot was nice, but not much knitting was done due to the heat. Only 4 people plus the owner of the yarn store were there, of the 8 people who said they were going to come. We put up the wall on the sunny side of the tent but it blocked the nice breeze. One of the ladies figured out an easy way to collapse the tent, so we had it packed up in 10 minutes.
Today would have been the start of the CNE, Canadian National Exhibition, which marks the end of summer. CNE does not get any money from government, so they have advertised to raise money to preserve some of the historical documents that they have in their buildings. With the hydro and heat/air con turned off, those documents could be at risk.
DD and I were already in the garden picking the ripe stuff, including a bunch of beans, lettuce and lots of radish pods. We put more screening over the raised garden as the squirrels won't leave the plants alone. My edamame bean was eaten by both the squirrels and the bunny.
Our new covid number is 531 with 17 deaths. 75 cases are in fully vaccinated people. 176 people are in ICU. Positivity rate is 2.4%. This area did not update it's website.
This province vaccinated 45K people yesterday. I got a notice to extend the employment for our vaccinators and vaccine call centre schedulers until Sept 30, so my employer is not winding down it's mass vaccination clinics like other areas. The 3 children's hospitals in Toronto have said that no one who is not fully vaccinated may enter their doors, that includes delivery people and visitors, because they cannot vaccinate most of their children patients.
I only did a little bit of knitting on my scarf. I tried knitting my brioche project, but it was just too hot and the needles were sticky.
Good morning from Port Hope Ontario Canada. It is... (show quote)

I don't understand the last part, about those that haven't been vaccinated not being allowed to enter the hospitals. They will be the ones at risk, they are no extra risk to anyone else!?
